The Young Goose Academy has organized the 5th Memorial Lea Bottacini figure skating competition at the Würtharena in Egna-Neumarkt (Bz - Italy) on April 30th, 2023. More than a 100 athlets have participated to this beautiful recurring event. A lovely video about Lea was running on the big screen. Check out the video here below

On May 26th, 2022 'The Prometeo Pilots' awarded the scholarship in memory of Lea to Virginia Gallista at the Maxwell Istituto Tecnico Industriale in Milan. Lea's Frá rose private donations. Donations came also from the Italian Navy Pilot Association whose representative Commander Guido Nori participated to the event. Avv. Caterina Antola represented the town hall of Milan. The Codiv-19 pandemic did not prevent 'The Prometeo Pilots' from raising privat donations to award a student of the Arturo Ferrarin highschool in Catania with the scholarship dedicated to Lea. This year the scholarship goes to Ludovica Patané for her excellent track records. Congratulations Ludovica! The ceremony was held on December 19th, 2020 at the highschool. The 'Prometeo' pilots, Lea's Frà, will organize and celebrate the 4th
'Lea Bottacini Scholarship' award in the beaufitul city of Catania (Sicily) on September 19th, 2020. Due to the Covid-19
pandemic the event will be held on-line only by the Istituto Tencico Aeronautico Statale "Arturo Ferrarin". The scholarship
will support a female student in her pursuit of a pilot career.

The 2nd Memorial Lea Bottacini Figure Skating Competition was held at the Würtharena in Egna-Neumarkt (Bz - Italy) on April 2nd, 2017. The Young Goose Academy has organized the event managing a stunning number of participats: 227 athlets. The event was also a fundraiser to sustain charitable organizations by selling t-shirts displaying Lea's logo and signed by the Italian National Figure Skating Team. Visit the image gallery here.

On Nov. 13th, 2016 at the J. C. Maxwell High School in Milan the 'Prometeo' Pilots awarded the scholarship in honor of Lea. The award ceremony in the packed auditorium was led by Prof. Franco Tornaghi (high school principal) and Prof. Laura Rigon.
The award is based on best track records. Contratulations to the winner.

Lea's course-mates of the 4th Pilot Class 'Prometeo' of the Italian Naval Academy have established a scholarship in honor of 'Lea Bottacini Tenente di Vascello Pilota della Marina Militare Italiana'. The scholarship aims at supporting female students in their last year of aeronautics high school, who will pursue a similar career as Lea's. Organized by the Young Goose Academy the 1st Memorial Lea Bottacini was a very timely and successful event held at the Würtharena in Egna-Neumarkt (Bz - Italy). An impeccable organization, the very engaged participant athletes, and the running photo-playlist of Lea on the big screens made the event very emotional. Videos of this event can be found on the Young Goose Academy Facbook page and on the facebook page of Idealweb.
The Italian Postal Service (PT) releases a stamp representing Lea to celebrate the relation between the sea and women. The author of the stunning drawing, Amara Jessica Sciascia in 3rd-year high school 'S. Todaro' in Augusta (Italy), represents Lea overseeing the sea that originates from the long hair of a mermaid in the distance (click on image on the left to enlarge). Congratulations to Jessica Amara for winning the award for her artistic view at the '2nd Trofeo Velico Marisicilia Cup 2016'.
